1/1/2024... Starting today, 1/1/2024, Gulf Winds East Condominium Association, Inc. has a new management company called Seacrest Southwest. They are located at 1044 Castello Drive, Suite #206, Naples, FL 34103. Their phone number is (239)261-3440, which is answered 24 hours per day, seven (7) days per week. The new property manager is Dierdre Woods. She can be reached at (239) 261-3440 Ext. 124 and her email is dwoods@swpropmgt.com. Dierdre will be posting her hours on the office bulletin board within the next few days. Please welcome her to our community!!
Please DO NOT remit January 1st payments to the previous management company. Your January statements will be sent out in an email titled, "Gulf Winds East Condominium Association, Inc. January Statements." Late fees will be waived during this transition period for the month of January.
Any seasonal renters coming in should come to the office to pick up their parking passes. Please have your make, model, and license plate number available. Pool FOBS must be requested by the owner of the unit. Owners can call or email Dierdre to request for the FOBS to be given to your renters.
7/25/2023 - NEW - BOARD OF DIRECTORS...Phil Aiello has been appointed the new President of the Board of Directors after the resignation of our former President, Bill Himaras. Mitchell Stern was appointed the new Vice President. Roseann Marinelli was appointed to the BOD, and then appointed as the new Treasurer. Welcome Roseann!
5/6/2023 NEW - Passage of the Special Assessment...The Board of Directors has passed the proposed special assessment for the shortfall of our insurance renewal premium. That premium was increased by $114,000 even though our association didn't file a claim for Hurricane Ian. The Special Assessment also included a replacement of hurricane funds spent on the property after the hurricane which totaled $139,000. These funds replenished this budget account and put us in a strong position for recovery after the next hurricane or disaster event. Please be sure to watch your email, regular mail, and the website for more information about this special assessment.
5/6/2023 NEW - BOARD OF DIRECTORS...We would like to welcome our three new members of the board. They are Doug Saturnino, Pam LeCourt, and Donna Ruble. Doug and Donna have served our community and we welcome them back. Your service over the years has been invaluable. We would also like to congratulate Pam as this will be her first year on the board.
11/2/2023 - Important message from Phil Aiello, President of the Board of Gulf Winds East Condominiums...
We have had several issues in our community with someone playing games with our equipment. One month ago, Frank, our Maintenance person, noticed that a copper wire had a clean cut to it which caused the TVs and Internet to go down by the pool. While I was in town this past week, I noticed the lawn looked real dry... and I also noticed the sprinklers by my unit were not turning on at midnight as they usually did. I had Frank check the timer box and he said someone turned the timer OFF for all 7 days. He fixed the timer and the sprinklers are working fine now. In addition, I noticed the lake levels dropping as I was in town. Frank checked the shut off switch on the well and that was turned OFF also. He has since turned this back on. Each of these boxes for the timer and well shut off have keys that were by them. We now have the boxes locked and have the keys in a safe place. I would like to catch the person doing these transgressions, and if caught, would like to press charges against them. Please be aware and communicate with other owners to be on the look out for suspicious activities around our community.

8/3/2023... The Board and Brett, the Property Manager, are working on a plan to distribute the new key FOBS for entry into the pool. We will be contacting owners when the plan is in place. Also, we hope to distribute new parking passes for the GWE community at the same time.
11/1/2023... All owners should plan to come to the office to pick up their FOBS for the pool area, as well as the new parking stickers. Brett, our property manager is available in the office Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM. He will be asking you for information about your vehicle, ESA paperwork if you have an emotional support animal, current rabies and license information for that animal.
12/1/2023... The FOBS for the pool are now live. You can no longer use your key to get into the pool area. If you haven't picked up your FOB, Brett is in the office Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM. You can also pick up the new parking sticker for your car.
12/2/2023... At the Board Meeting this coming Tuesday, December 5th, there will be a vote on the Financial Reporting Waiver and Rollover of Surplus Funds. Also, the Board of Directors will hold a discussion and then a vote to approve the 2024 Budget and Reserve Plan. The meeting will be held at the Resort Management office at 815 Bald Eagle Drive, Suite #201, on Marco Island at 1:00 PM. If you cannot attend this very important meeting in person, you can attend the meeting on ZOOM, with the link listed above.
